Santa Ynez Art Walk Opening Party with Cassandria Blackmore

Celebrate the opening of the first-ever Santa Ynez Art Walk at Artiste. During Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley weekend, join us for a special exhibition of guest artist Cassandria Blackmore’s reverse paintings on glass, with music by DJ DMac.

Cassandria paints on the back of glass, carefully placing the strokes viewers will see first. She breaks and reassembles the painted surface, creating luminous works that change with the light and their surroundings. A Santa Barbara–based artist and recipient of the John Hauberg Fellowship, she has work in the collections of the Crocker Art Museum, Portland Art Museum, and Imagine Museum. More about Cassandra…
