Merrie Okie

Merrie Okie brings a vivid, unrestrained imagination to Artiste—marking our first collaboration with a mixed media artist and opening a new visual chapter for the winery. A graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, she studied painting, photography, and sculpture, disciplines that continue to shape her layered, multidimensional work.

Her art lives between dream and memory—wildly colorful, densely composed, and rich with narrative. Each piece feels discovered rather than constructed, blending fragments of experience, travel, and emotion into a single visual moment. There’s a playful tension in her work: whimsical yet grounded, surreal yet deeply human—an energy that translates naturally onto a wine label.

Okie’s work has been exhibited in galleries across the U.S. and internationally, with collectors ranging from private patrons to institutions like USC’s Doheny Library. Her career spans murals, film art direction, international exhibitions, and gallery design, reflecting a practice that moves fluidly across mediums and environments.

At Artiste, Merrie Okie debuts on our May release—four reds, a rosé, and a white blend. This first collection introduces her immersive visual language to our wines, where each label invites discovery with every glance and every sip.
