THE LOCAL SECRET: ORDER STICA. BRING IT TO ARTISTE THE LOCAL SECRET: ORDER STICA. BRING IT TO ARTISTE. 🍕🍷🎨Here’s one of our favorite ways to spend an afternoon in Santa Ynez:Order ahead from STICA, walk across the street, pick it up, and bring it over to Artiste. Grab a table in our Tasting Gallery, surround yourself with original art, open a bottle or enjoy a tasting, and settle in with some seriously delicious food.STICA is the casual, grab-and-go sibling of the acclaimed S.Y. Kitchen, created by Chef Luca Crestanelli and his team. Think Roman-style pizza with that light, crispy crust, fresh salads, Italian panini and plenty of things made for sharing and noshing over wine. And one thing you absolutely have to try: their new mortadella sandwich made on pizza-dough bread. It is ridiculously good and especially great with a glass of Artiste.Chef Luca has built a tremendous reputation here, and S.Y. Kitchen has long been one of the area’s most beloved restaurants.Speaking personally, I’ve been enjoying Luca’s food for months and highly recommend it with our wines. The best part? STICA is essentially across the street from Artiste, so you can order ahead, grab your food and make our gallery your lunch spot. This is also part of a bigger secret we think visitors are only beginning to discover: the little town of Santa Ynez is one of the great places to eat in wine country. Some of the best restaurants in the region are right here in town—and yes, Santa Ynez is the town that gave the Santa Ynez Valley its name.So next time you’re planning a wine-country day, don’t just drive through.Come hungry. Order STICA. Get the mortadella sandwich. Bring it to Artiste. Drink great wine. Look at art. Stay awhile.#SantaYnez #SantaYnezCA #VisitSantaYnez #EatSantaYnez #DowntownSantaYnez @stica_sy @sychamber @visitsyv @visitsantabarbara @sykitchen

Sip. Paint. Create something completely your own. Sip. Paint. Create something completely your own. 🎨🍷Come into the Artiste tasting room, enjoy a wine tasting, and paint an original label that we can affix to a bottle of wine. One of our current favorites is a beautiful red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.Painting is a wonderful way to get your creative juices flowing, slow down, and give your brain a refreshing break from the everyday routine. No artistic experience is needed—just relax, have fun, and see what comes to life. It’s a great experience to share with your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, friends, or the whole family. Kids are welcome to join in the label-making too, making it something everyone can enjoy together.Your finished bottle can become a meaningful birthday or anniversary gift, a keepsake from your visit, or a one-of-a-kind present for someone special.Great wine. For years I’ve wrestled with one question... **Wh For years I’ve wrestled with one question...**What is the role of the winemaker?**Much of the modern wine world celebrates *terroir*—the idea that the highest calling of a winemaker is to step aside and let the vineyard speak. I deeply respect that philosophy. But it isn’t mine.I believe great vineyards don’t create great wine any more than great pigments create great paintings. The vineyard grows the **paint**.The artist creates the **painting**.Every brushstroke matters. Every blend matters. Every decision matters.Long before laboratories, cultured yeast, and chemistry reports, there was the ancient “black art” of blending. Master blenders trusted their senses, their memory, their intuition, and countless hours of tasting to compose something greater than the sum of its parts. That’s the tradition that inspires me.At Artiste, every wine begins with a work of art. The painting isn’t there to decorate the bottle—it becomes the inspiration for everything that follows. The vineyard gives me extraordinary colors to work with. The artwork gives those colors a story. And somewhere between the two...the wine finds its voice.**Terroir gives wine its origin.****Art gives wine its voice.**— Bion Rice, founder & winemaker#SantaBarbaraWine #ArtisteWinery #Winemaking #Terroir #WineArt@bionrice @annasrice @artistewinery @visitsyv @visitsantabarbara @enjoysantaynez
🇺🇸 THE AMERICAN DREAM COLLECTION 🇺🇸 For 250 years 🇺🇸 THE AMERICAN DREAM COLLECTION 🇺🇸For 250 years, America has been a place where dreamers, artists, entrepreneurs, and families have pursued something greater than themselves. The American Dream is not a destination. It is the freedom to create. The freedom to build. The freedom to take risks. The freedom to leave something meaningful behind. For more than a decade, artist Steven Quartly and I have collaborated to create wines that celebrate beauty, creativity, and the human spirit. Together, we’ve built businesses, raised families, pursued our crafts, and shared a belief that some of life’s greatest rewards come from doing what you love.To celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, we’ve created **The American Dream Collection**—a limited series of commemorative wines featuring Steven’s patriotic artwork paired with handcrafted wines from California’s Santa Ynez Valley.Raise a glass to the dreamers. The builders. The artists. The families. And to 250 years of freedom and gratitude that made it all possible.🍷 Shop the collection at Artiste.com#AmericanDreamCollection #ArtisteWinery #StevenQuartly #FreedomAndGratitude #SantaYnezValleyWine
Five kids. One weekend getaway. And two completel Five kids. One weekend getaway. And two completely different wines.Today I had the pleasure of hosting this wonderful couple for a private blending workshop at Artiste. While taking a well-earned break from the beautiful chaos of raising five children, they spent the afternoon blending wine, creating art, and simply enjoying time together.Using Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Franc, each crafted a unique blend that reflected their own palate and personality. No collaboration. No compromises. Just two different expressions created side-by-side.Then came my favorite part. They hand-sketched their own wine labels, transforming each bottle into a personal keepsake that tells the story of this day together. The wine will eventually be gone. The memory won’t.Five kids at home. Two custom wines. One unforgettable date.❤️🍷🎨#ArtisteWinery#WineBlendingWorkshop#DateNight#SantaYnezValley#WineAndArt

Meet the Cheeto Lady. Twenty years ago, Tammy Esp Meet the Cheeto Lady.Twenty years ago, Tammy Esposito walked into Artiste as a wine club member. Little did we know she would become one of the most beloved characters in our story.Over the years, Tammy has supported Artiste in a way few people ever have. She’s purchased more large-format bottles—6L and 9L giants—than anyone else. She loved the winery so much that eventually she asked if she could help out on weekends and at events. We happily said yes.Today, you’ll find Tammy at Artiste almost every Saturday (at least until football season takes over her weekends). But most people don’t know her as Tammy. They know her as “The Cheeto Lady.”Years ago, Tammy introduced what has become one of Artiste’s most legendary pairings: Cheetos and big red wine. It sounds ridiculous until you try it. Then suddenly you’re wondering why nobody told you sooner. To this day, guests walk into the tasting room asking specifically for “the Cheeto pairing.”That’s the kind of impact Tammy has had around here.Recently, one of her biggest fans created this incredible sketch of a single Cheeto while sitting at Artiste and gifted it to her. Tammy’s wife had it professionally framed, creating what may be the most perfect piece of Artiste memorabilia ever made.A framed Cheeto. For the Cheeto Lady.Twenty years of friendship, laughter, wine, giant bottles, unforgettable pairings, and showing up for a small business you believe in.People like Tammy are the reason Artiste exists.Cheers to you, Tammy. ❤️🍷#ArtisteWinery #CheetoLady #WineClubLife #SantaYnezValley #WineAndFriends LargeFormatWine WinePairing CheersToCommunity

What happens when art stops sitting still… and sta What happens when art stops sitting still… and starts breathing? For a few surreal seconds, the walls of Artiste Winery & Gallery disappeared. The paintings moved. The characters awakened. And the line between wine, cinema, imagination, and reality completely dissolved.Merrie Okie’s Poured in Color gallery almost felt like it came to life on its own… as if the spirit of the artwork and her own powerful creative energy field stepped right out of the canvas and into motion. There’s something playful, emotional, wild, and beautifully human pulsing through her work that made this experiment feel strangely real. This isn’t just a reel. It’s a glimpse into where storytelling is going next. And while we deeply believe wine should always remain something crafted by human hands, heart, soul, and connection… this is simply us having fun with AI and creativity in a world that could use a little more wonder, laughter, and imagination right now.Liquid art. Living art.And honestly… we’re just getting started. 🍷✨#ArtisteWinery #MerrieOkie #AIArt #CinematicArt #WineAndArt
Day two in Coronado was even bigger. Our same Art Day two in Coronado was even bigger. Our same Artiste crew — Julie and Joe Overstreet alongside John Caron — spent Saturday pouring wines for hundreds of guests inside the VIP Lounge at the Coronado Art & Wine Festival. With live music playing, incredible food being served, and people dancing under a perfect San Diego sky, the entire day felt like exactly the kind of experience Artiste was built for.Wine, art, creativity, conversation, community, sunshine, and human connection all in one place. The alignment between Artiste and this festival couldn’t have been more natural. We poured sparkling, whites, Rosé, and bold red blends all afternoon while introducing so many new people to what we do in Santa Ynez. The response was incredible, and it’s clear to us that San Diego is becoming an important focus and growing community for Artiste moving forward.Huge gratitude again to everyone who stopped by the lounge, shared a glass with us, purchased wine, and supported the event. Coronado showed us a beautiful weekend, and this is only the beginning. We’ll absolutely be back.#ArtisteWinery #CoronadoArtAndWineFestival #SanDiegoWine #WineAndArt #SantaYnezWine
What a night in Coronado. A few weeks ago, Artist What a night in Coronado.A few weeks ago, Artiste was honored to be the official winery sponsor for the VIP kickoff evening of the Coronado Wine & Art Festival benefiting the Coronado Schools Foundation. This reel is a little glimpse into an unforgettable evening filled with wine, conversation, community, and creativity.Alongside an incredible team — Julie Overstreet, Joe Overstreet, and John Caron — we had the pleasure of hosting nearly 120 VIP guests throughout the night. We poured everything from sparkling wines and crisp whites to Rosé and our signature red blends while guests explored the event and connected over art and wine. One of the highlights of the evening was watching guests personalize their purchased bottles with hand wax dipping — turning each bottle into a memory and keepsake from the night. Even better, a portion of proceeds from the magnums sold during the event went directly back to support the Coronado Schools Foundation. We were also honored to have the Mayor of Coronado stop by and share in the celebration.A huge thank you to Inge for connecting us with this special event and helping bring Artiste into such a passionate and welcoming community. Nights like this remind us why we do what we do — bringing people together through wine, art, and shared experiences.Cheers, Coronado. We’ll be back.#ArtisteWinery #CoronadoWineFestival #CoronadoSchoolsFoundation #SantaYnezWine #WineAndArt
