Welcome to WINE’SCOOL, a Saturday morning wine education series at Artiste Winery & Gallery designed for anyone who wants to understand wine better.

No experience required. No pretension. No stupid questions.

Come learn how wine is grown, made, blended, tasted and enjoyed — from the fundamentals to the wonderfully nerdy stuff.

Your Host: Bion Rice

WINE’SCOOL will be hosted by Bion Rice, Founder and Winemaker of Artiste Winery & Gallery. Bion’s winemaking career began with his first vintage at Sunstone Winery in 1992, followed by the first Artiste wine in 1999 and the founding of Artiste Winery. With more than 30 years of hands-on winemaking experience behind the program, his approach to wine education is the same philosophy behind WINE’SCOOL: make wine understandable, approachable and fun.

Bion is also the host and co-creator of Two Glasses In, the podcast and video series featuring candid, in-depth conversations with many of Santa Barbara County’s most respected winemakers about their wines, their craft and their lives.
