When I raise a glass to toast friends, I prefer the Pomerol magic of Merlot with Cabernet Franc. These two varietals complement each other, creating rich and dense dark fruits, enhanced by dried herbs and spices, and graced by earthy minerality, all balanced by piquant acidity.
